Digital Dinos, in Lakeside, North Harbour, was approached by Highbury College student Jack Day, 17, who was hoping for work experience. After just four weeks at the business, Jack had impressed his colleagues so much that he was offered a full time position.

Jack said: ‘Everyone has been really supportive.’

The company was set up in 2016 by Reece Matthews and Carl Hewitt, former Portsmouth College apprentices.

Reece said: ‘Jack was so good, he created his own job.’

The latest recruit follows Jess Moon, a Portsmouth College student, who won Apprentice of the Year at The News Business Awards.
