A COUNCILLOR has praised a new restaurant for opening in Fareham and bringing 20 jobs to the town.

As reported, Rancho South American Steak House opened its doors on Thursday night, on West Street, following a £350,000 refurb of a former Halifax building society building.

Cllr Arthur Mandry, who represents the council on the Town Centre Management Committee, said: ‘We always welcome new businesses, especially when they bring a new offering to the town centre. I hope people use them and that they are a success. I wish them well.’
