Pub group launches online tools for support

A PUB group has launched two new digital tools to help publicans run successful pub businesses while attracting new entrepreneurs into the trade.

The new Publican Channel, set up by Ei Publican Partnerships, formerly known as Enterprise Inns, is a one-stop-shop platform providing access to business advice, training, printed point of sale, current deals and the ability to place orders online.

A new ‘applicant dashboard’ on the Ei Publican Partnerships website will also allow prospective publicans to build their profile outlining their aspirations for running a pub, as well as the ability to search for pubs, ‘favourite’ the sites they are interested in and manage the application process.

Matthew Ralphs, recruitment and marketing manager at Ei Group, said: ‘We know that many more of our publicans and prospective publicans are looking for online solutions.

‘We have invested significantly to ensure these platforms are full of information while being easy to navigate.

‘The publican profiles are a significant development and will become a valuable database of potential future publicans. Even if we don’t have the perfect pub in the area at the time, we’ll be able to use our segmentation tool to match pubs that do become available in the future, with the profiles previously set up. It’s an exciting innovation.’

There are six pubs in The News area currently available on the Ei website; including The Eldon Arms in Southsea, The Old House at Home, in Eastney and Milton Arms, in Milton.
