PLANS for Public Health England to share offices with a council have been scrapped.

As reported, PHE looked into moving into Fareham’s Civic Offices to share facilities in the hope of saving money.

It would have joined the Integrated Offender Management and the Wessex Youth Offending Team which moved in four years ago. PHE would have taken over the fifth floor of the civic offices. But the deal did not go ahead as PHE has renewed the lease of its current office, on Solent Business Park, in Whiteley, until December 2016.
