LOVERS of classic rock and blues are in for a treat as a nine-hour music festival takes place at a pub.

Community radio station The Flash has been broadcasting all week on 87.9FM from The Curlew Pub, in Petersfield Road, Havant.

The broadcast ends at midnight tonight and will go out with a bang as nine hours of live music start from 2pm today.

The event aims to raise funds for future broadcast licences at the station, which is staffed by volunteers and was started three years ago by 45-year-old Martin Kirby.

Mr Kirby, from Waterlooville, said: ‘This line-up reflects the abundance of talented artists who perform at live venues.’

Performers include Mark Handley and Different Place.
