Readers vote for their top salons in Hair and Beauty Awards

Hundreds of people have headed to The News’ Facebook page to show their support as part of our Hair and Beauty Awards.

The awards take place on Saturday, July 2 at Portsmouth Guildhall where the winners of 14 categories – including the Readers’ Choice – will be revealed.

This year saw the launch of the revamped Readers’ Choice category, which enabled the public to nominate salons.

Hundreds of e-mails were received, putting forward scores of salons.

The 11 with the most votes made the shortlist and their pictures were posted on Facebook on June 3. Since then, some salons have received more than 600 ‘likes’ each – and the gallery has been seen by more than 130,000 people.
