Recognition for business help

GROUPS working to help small firms have been recognised in awards.

Portsmouth City Council and Shaping Portsmouth have been named in the Local Authority Small Business Friendly Awards, run by the Federation of Small Businesses.

Projects named include a free business enquiry run by the city council, and a scheme between the University of Portsmouth and Shaping Portsmouth that ran a three-month entrepreneurial project that created 12 jobs.
