PEOPLE in East Hampshire are being urged to not miss out on funding for home energy improvements.

East Hampshire District Council is reaching out to residents to ensure they take advantage of funding for insulation, double-glazing and around £400 towards the cost of a boiler.

Starting this month a team of experts working for the council, from independent energy efficiency company Climate Energy, will knock on around 6,000 doors to explain the funding available.

The streets which will be door-knocked are in Petersfield, Horndean and Rowlands Castle.

The funding has to be spent by March, so residents are encouraged to act now. More than 100 people have already expressed an interest.
