Bakery launch is hailed as a success

The region's flying medics are better off, thanks to luxury car firm Rolls-Royce.

The company, based in Goodwood near Chichester, made a pre-Christmas donation to the Sussex Air Ambulance, to help it become the first air ambulance to fly at night in the UK.

The charity, which attends emergency calls by helicopter, is investigating ways of making night flights safe.

Rolls-Royce refused to say how much it gave to the charity, except to say it was 'substantial'.

Sussex Air Ambulance has been the Rolls-Royce House Charity since 2008, and with this last donation it ends its official support.
