Dan Mihalache, Romanian ambassador to the UK, spent the day at the chamber’s Fareham office last week to meet leading business people and talk about maximising business links between Romania and the UK.

There are more than 5,000 UK companies in Romania and the UK is the second most profitable investor.

They discussed issues such as tax, internet speeds, banking, sectors include automotive, agriculture, tourism and renewable energy, and the impact of Brexit.

He said: ‘This is a two-way road, with Romanian investors looking at the UK.’
