CONTRACTS have been exchanged for the sale of two police buildings.

Following the exchange of contract for the sale of the Hampshire Constabulary’s headquarters, at West Hill in Winchester, it has also exchanged contracts for Alpha Park in Chandlers Ford - the sale of which is subject to planning permission.

Simon Hayes, Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire, said: ‘This move is a step forward in ensuring police facilities are more efficient and effective, while making savings we need to.’

The sale of Alpha Park – which the force bought for £9.2m in 2008 but never used – was delayed after contamination was found.
