Salon looks to fundraise by waxing hairy people
A SALON is hoping to raise cash for a good cause '“ by removing people's hair.
A waxing event is being held at midday on Saturday, November 26 at Suave Hair & Beauty Bar in Highland Road, Southsea.
Salon manager Chloe Halford will be carrying out back and chest waxes and she is on the hunt for volunteers.
She said: ‘We’re raising money for the Erb’s Palsy Group, the only UK-based organisation that offers support to families affected by Erb’s Palsy, a condition which, mainly due to birth trauma, can affect one or all of the five primary nerves that supply the movement and feeling to an arm.
‘This charity is so close to my heart because a family friend has the birth injury and we can see first-hand how it affects her. Our target is to reach £500. We’ve already raised £250 in a matter of days and we are overwhelmed by the support.’
