A FOOT health practitioner has spoken of her relief after councillors allowed her to continue trading.

The business – Sheridan Foot Health – is next door to One Stop, in White Hart Lane, Portchester.

It was subject to a retrospective change of use application at Fareham Borough Council’s latest planning committee meeting.

Two letters of objection were sent to the council highlighting concerns over the use of parking spaces at the back of the shop and work that had been carried out already.

Business owner Diane Sheridan said: ‘I’ve been serving the community for over a year as a registered nurse and a foot health practitioner. I did not realise that I needed the change of use.’

Councillors on the committee granted Ms Sheridan permission to carry on trading from the shop, which used to be a printers.

Ms Sheridan said she was relieved that she could continue to serve her clients.
