Site manager picks up award

The 31-year-old picked up the prize for exceptional site management at the 2016 South East LABC Warranty Building Excellence Awards, and will now go forward to the national final later this year.

The awards celebrate the outstanding contribution of site managers.

Darren, 31, joined Bloor Homes 18 months ago and took over at Bloor Homes’ Berewood development in Waterlooville just over a year ago.

He said: ‘It’s been a fantastic team effort by everyone on site. We’re delighted with how the development is taking shape and this award really is the icing on the cake.’

Ben Peddie, construction director at Bloor Homes Southern, said: ‘I’d like to congratulate Darren and his team on this superb achievement and wish them all the best in the national awards later in the year.’
