Customers who visit Seeded on Yarn Shop Day will be able to enjoy discounts, displays, a charity tombola, tea and cake and more.

Regulars and new customers alike are encouraged to show their support for independent wool shops.

Alexsis Seed of Seeded said: ‘We're delighted to be taking part in Yarn Shop Day again and we hope to welcome customers old and new on the day.

‘These are tough times for bricks-and-mortar stores but events like this help to highlight the valuable service we offer.

‘Customers rely on their local yarn shop for more than just needles and wool – it's a place to get advice, meet like-minded people and feel part of a crafting community.'

The event has been organised by publications Let's Knit and Let's Get Crafting, and last year more than 200 outlets took part nationwide.

Let's Knit editor Sarah Neal said: ‘More and more of us are turning to crafts for relaxation and stress relief. Why not take a trip to your local yarn store on Yarn Shop Day and discover those benefits for yourself?’
