The Slug & Lettuce, in Palmerston Road, will reopen as the Scarlet Tap on Saturday, May 25.

The Southsea site has received a £300,000 investment and is being transformed with murals, new lighting and bric-à-brac adorning the walls and backbar.

Ash Patterson, general manager of the Scarlet Tap, said: ‘It’s been an exciting time at the Scarlet Tap and we can’t wait to welcome the people of Southsea so they can try the new pub for themselves.’
