THE jobs of 24 staff working for Trident Blinds in Hampshire and West Sussex has been secured, thanks to a buy-out.

Dorset-based Broadview has acquired the showrooms previously owned by Trident, making it the UK’s largest independent manufacturer and retailer of blinds and other goods.

Eight showrooms will remain open following the acquisition of Portsmouth-based Trident at the end of last year

The deal secures a long-term future for 24 staff based in Fareham, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Bognor Regis, Chichester, Totton, Hedge End, Southampton and Farnham.

Customers will also have their orders filled, as Broadview was one of Trident’s own suppliers.

Mark Pratt, managing director of Broadview, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome the Trident team to Broadview. We now have a very strong and visible presence across southern England, which will enable Broadview to continue strengthening our position as the UK’s biggest independent manufacturer and retailer of blinds, awnings and shutters.’
