Staff at Onecom, which has offices in Whiteley and throughout the south, will be raising money for the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity after employees selected the West End-based organisation as their new chosen good cause.

The 410-strong team will be thinking up fundraising challenges to support the charity, after raising £6,000 for mental health charity Mind last year.

This particular organisation supports 3,000 patients and their families each year.

It offers nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, therapies and creative activities.

Darren Ridge, CEO of Onecom, said: ‘Our staff are very engaged with their local communities and many of them are aware of the incredible work of the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity through friends and family.

‘We wanted to give staff a free choice on which charity they wanted to support through 2018.

‘The hospice was clearly an emotional choice for many.

‘We are now setting our teams the challenge of raising as much as they can

‘We know we will have a lot of fun along the way.’
