PARENTS are being urged to sign up to a half-term playscheme, as the places are filling up fast.

The scheme, which is open for children aged three to 11 years, will offer hands on activities and workshops based around Hampshire’s real life heroes.

Dream Catchers child care in Farlington is holding hero week next week.

Police, fire fighters, staff from St John’s ambulance, guide dog trainers and coast guards are all lined up to visit.

Leah Cardey, manger said that it was set to be an exciting week with children getting the chance to try on uniforms, meet guide dog puppies in training and ask questions.

She said: ‘I wanted to offer the parents in the area a form of childcare which had a strong emphasis on team building, educational play and learning about the people in our vibrant city who I hope they go on to see as positive real life role models.’

The scheme will run from 8am until 6pm daily. Prices from £22.50 per day. Go to to book
