STAFF at DFS in Waterlooville are celebrating after helping to raise over £750,000 for Children in Need.

Branches throughout the UK have pledged to raise £1m in 2017.

So far, the firm has raised £750,421 for Children in Need and the team at Wellington Retail Park have been taking part in various fundraising events as part of its Give Me Five promotion.

The campaign, now in its third year, sees staff encourage customers to enter a competition for £5 when making an order. The winner of the competition gets their order free of cost.

Chris Potter, Waterlooville store manager, said: ‘Helping to support BBC Children in Need is a cause that resonates with all our employees and it’s great to know that the money we continue to raise makes a huge difference to the lives of the children right here in Waterlooville.’
