A CLASSIC from the annals of aviation history gave Lee-on-the-Solent pub The Wyvern its name.

The Wyvern in Common Barn Lane is named after a multi-role carrier-based strike aircraft, the Westland Wyvern, which could be seen in the skies from 1946 to 1956.

A Wyvern is now to be seen on the pub’s sign and menus.
