MOBILE phone operator EE has today switched on its fourth generation network in Portsmouth.

The superfast 4G mobile broadband network means residents and businesses will be able to browse up to five times faster on their phones, laptops and tablets than they could on 3G.

EE is the only 4G mobile network available in Hampshire, but it still relies on good signal quality to work efficiently.

EE – also running Orange and T-Mobile services – launched the UK’s first 4G mobile network and is the UK’s largest and fastest network.
