Take enthralling tour in Land Rover
GLEAMING Land Rover Discovery cars are being shown off to guests at Gunwharf Quays over the America's Cup weekend.
Experts are taking guests for a ride over a steep ramp and over other bumps as part of a Land Rover experience.
The climb up a metal ramp reaches a 35-degree angle while the drive down is at a nerve-wracking 45 degrees.
The initiative is thanks to Land Rover’s corporate partnership with Sir Ben Ainslie’s sailing enterprise, Ben Ainslie Racing.
And yesterday The News got the chance to try out the course and find out why the stunning vehicles – valued at about £80,000 each – are popular on the road and test their hi-tech brakes and gears.

‘The weather has been lovely and everyone is really happy.’
The Land Rover experience – which is free to guests – will be running until 9pm each day over the World Series weekend and is based at The Plaza.
