EMPLOYERS need to be aware of tightened rules when it comes to employing students in the summer.

James Self, of TaxAssist in Portsmouth, said employers now have to report their employees’ gross pay, tax, and National Insurance either before or when wages are paid, rather than annually.

There are concessions for firms with 50 staff or fewer.
