Have your say

HAS your business gone the extra mile this year? Do you have staff who always meet exceptional standards? Then why not enter The News Business Excellence Awards 2015?

The awards give businesses the chance to be recognised for the hard work they have done and any achievements over the past year they are particularly proud of.

And there is still time for people to nominate themselves or their firms.

With 15 categories ranging from Apprentice of the Year to Start-up Business of the Year, there is plenty of opportunities to highlight the good work of many different businesses.

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce has supported The News Business Excellence Awards since they began.

They provide the ideal platform to showcase the businesses that are the heart of the Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire economy.

Deputy chief executive Maureen Frost said: ‘With bad news often hitting the headlines we believe these awards provide the opportunity to focus on all the positives that our businesses and those who run them can bring to Portsmouth.

‘They give us the opportunity to celebrate success and highlight many success stories that otherwise would remain a well-kept secret.

‘Sharing what the winners have achieved can inspire others to succeed and will also prove to be a catalyst for sharing ideas and best practice.

‘For the businesses entering, the benefits include an excellent profile-raising opportunity, a reason to focus on how the business is performing and can also be a real morale boost for employees who like to know they are involved with a successful company.

‘We are pleased to be working with The News to continue to improve and enhance the Business Excellence Awards.’

The closing for the awards is at midnight on November 21 after which all entries will be judged by a panel of judges.

A shortlist for the 15 categories will then be announced by The News and on our website
