Three care homes listed in the top 20

THREE care homes from The News area have been recognised with an award in a regional scheme.

Cross Way House in Havant, Whitehaven Care Home in Horndean and Whiteoaks Rest Home in Fareham, were ranked among the top 20 care homes in the south east of England in the Top 20 Care Home Awards 2016.

The scheme is run by website carehome.co.uk.

It highlights the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK.

The awards are based on more than 55,000 reviews and recommendations the site has received from residents, and family and friends of residents, from February 15, 2014 to February 15, 2016.

It also uses each home’s review score, which is calculated using a combination of the number of reviews, the average of each of the ratings and the size of the care home.
