AN APPRENTICESHIP training provider which is based in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight has been named top in the region.

HTP Training has, for the second year running, been named winner of the National Training Awards’ 2012 South Central Region, in the Medium Employer category.

It joins another local success story, Review Salons, which won in the Small Employer category.

The NTA, run in association with Investors in People and the National Apprenticeship Service, recognise organisations that have delivered outstanding training programmes for their own staff.

HTP, based at 1000 Lakeside, will now attend the final on November 14 at Birmingham NEC.

Rachael Fidler, managing director of HTP said: ‘Our staff are trained to a high standard to ensure that both students and employers involved in HTP apprenticeship programmes benefit from an exceptional service.

‘It is this which has helped HTP achieve an outstanding from Ofsted and be recognised as one of the 12 best training companies in the country.’
