Training site opens in Gosport

The Training Academy was opened earlier this week and will offer courses in a range of industries.

Based in Gosport, the academy has taken over 25 years of distance learning, industry knowledge and experience from within the Maritime Services Group to create a new classroom-based training site.

Managing director Ian Biles said: ‘Gosport’s business leaders have made it clear that there is a need for a provider of training services to people and businesses in this area.

‘Initially we will be offering training to the marine, construction, food and childcare industries with many more courses and bespoke learning on the way.’

Operations director Christine Biddle added: ‘We are very proud of our Gosport roots and have worked long and hard to find premises for The Training Academy.

‘With its thriving marine and business community we believe The Training Academy can be a huge success story for Gosport.’
