Two law firms team up to offer free advice

AFTER offering free legal advice and guidance to residents, Waterlooville's legal firms, Verisona Law and Larcomes LLP, are returning for a third drop-in clinic.

The first two events saw legal experts from the two companies give free advice at St George’s Church in Waterlooville after they were asked by the church.

Scores of people attended the drop-in clinics to seek advice on a wide range of matters such as making wills, moving home and a variety of family matters.

So much so, that both firms have agreed to run a third event between 12.30pm and 2.30pm on Thursday.

Claire Peers, head of marketing at Verisona Law, said: ‘We found that some people just want to ask a question or two before considering whether to take a matter further.

‘For those individuals, going to a law firm can be seen as a big step forward or a commitment they are not ready for.’

Natalie Courage, manager at Larcomes LLP, said that the firms were looking forward to the event.

She added: ‘By going out into the community and offering free 15-minute consultations in a friendly environment, we have established an informal, supportive atmosphere
that has proved very
popular.

‘We are looking forward to seeing and speaking to more people who want advice.’

The drop-in clinic will take place in St George’s Church Hall, in St George’s Walk, Waterlooville.
