A RECRUITMENT service run by The News’ parent company, Johnston Press, is to go hi-tech from next week.

The service, which can be found at, has teamed up with an award-winning firm to offer clients the chance to get video CVs of candidates.

The videos last for a minute, and relate specifically to the job the candidate is applying for., which launched in September, is an online fixed-price recruitment service that helps businesses cut down on the time taken when recruiting new staff.

Stephen Anderson, general manager of, said: ‘We are very excited about having secured this exclusive arrangement.

‘Within the recruitment industry, the quality of the CVSeeMe service is well recognised, and as the market for video CVs now reaches maturity, we believe it is an opportune moment to bring this product to a broader audience.

‘It allows jobseekers to really sell themselves to recruiters and secure that first interview whilst also helping recruiters to select the very best candidates.’
