Waitrose is recalling its own brand Asian Fusion Rice Noodles because of a manufacturing error.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg and/ or wheat (gluten).

Product details: Waitrose Asian Fusion Rice Noodles, 300g with ‘Use by’ date: 6 September (2015)

The Food Standards Agency are advising Waitrose consumers who have bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg and/ or wheat (gluten), not to eat it.

Instead, return the product to any Waitrose store, including those in Southsea, Gosport, Havant, Waterlooville and Petersfield.

Waitrose has recalled the product from consumers and have contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company will be displaying point-of-sale notices in stores. A copy of this notice is attached below.

No other Waitrose products are known to be affected.
