The Signature Collection has the thickest patty served in any McDonald’s restaurant, 1/3lb, three times that of a standard cheeseburger.

Fratton is one of just 25 restaurants in the south to offer the burgers, crafted by the prestigious Chef’s Council, which is made up of a team of chefs with a wide range of experience from Michelin-starred restaurants to cooking for international royalty.

THE CLASSIC

100 per cent British and Irish beef, beechwood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, wholegrain mustard mayo, ketchup, lettuce and red onion, in a brioche-style bun

This is delicious. A classic burger at its best. The large patty, the mix of red onion, some mustard mayo, it’s an absolute delicious classic. My stand-out favourite.

THE BBQ

100 per cent British and Irish beef, smoky BBQ sauce, coleslaw, lettuce, beechwood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and red onion, in a brioche-style bun.

I have to be in the mood for barbecue, but luckily today was a barbecue day. The added extra of coleslaw really makes this burger. A must for any barbecue fans.

THE SPICY

100 per cent British and Irish beef, jalapeno slices, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, spicy relish and mayo, in a brioche-style bun.

There’s something about a jalapeno that puts me right off my food. But after picking it out (although you can order it without) I sunk into the spicy burger sensation. The pepper jack cheese is a brilliant addition. Spice lovers, this is your burger....
