'˜Welcome to Southampton' advert goes up in Portsmouth city centre
WELCOME to Southampton is not something you expect to see driving into Portsmouth's city centre.
But the slogan has appeared on a bright red advert for Tiger Tiger Portsmouth near the roundabout at the southern end of Mile End Road.
The billboard, which went up this morning, is advertising the Gunwharf Quays club’s Monday night event ‘Sorry, not sorry’ for University of Portsmouth’s Freshers Week - named after the popular social media phrase for a crocodile tears ‘apology.’
