Work begins in village to build affordable homes

A TURF-CUTTING ceremony marked the start of construction on Stoney Meadow, a development of affordable homes in North Mundham, near Chichester.

Social housing provider Stonewater is working with developers Hamlet Homes and Chichester District Council to build 25 affordable homes for rent and shared ownership.

The development, three miles away from Chichester town centre, will include two public open spaces and a public art feature.

Marie Riordan, regional development manager, said: ‘These homes address a real need in the village for genuinely affordable homes.’
