A HOUSEBUILDING firm is investing in young locals through its apprenticeship scheme.

Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties is offering opportunities throughout the region and is currently employing 29 apprentices across Hampshire, West Sussex and Dorset.

Apprentices are learning skills such as carpentry, electrical work and plumbing.

Apprentice site manager Natalie Swaine said: ‘I’m really enjoying my apprenticeship. I spend one day a week at college, studying construction in the built environment, which really helps with my everyday role on site,

‘It’s a great way to gain the skills I need.’
