YOUNGSTERS from Havant Academy have had a taste of the world of business, thanks to a programme run at Langstone Technology Park.

Fasset, which manages the park, has been working with the Portsmouth & South East Hampshire Education Business Partnership (EBP) to offer pupils the chance to shadow Fasset employees and develop their confidence.

The Learning Excel Aspire Programme was launched in April last year, and is made up of workshop sessions of which the final one sees the groups presenting on their chosen topic.

Gary Medlow, managing director of Fasset, was one of the VIP guests invited to the final presentations.

He said: ‘As with last year, it has been a privilege to watch these students grow and develop in confidence and aspiration.’

He said the technology park will continue to work with the Portsmouth EBP to offer the programme to pupils.

At the presentation ceremony, it was announced that a similar programme, this time aimed at graduates, will begin early this year.
