Book up for top award

A PORTSMOUTH University professor has seen her book shortlisted for a nationally acclaimed award.Â

The book, entitled I deal Homes 1918 to 39  has been nominated for the Alice Davis  Hitchcock Memorial Medallion for '˜outstanding contribution to architectural history'.

In the book, rofessor Deborah Sugg Ryan investigates the house building boom of the interwar years and how these houses are used today   

Professor Sugg Ryan said: '˜This book is the culmination of over a decade of research. I am thrilled to have been nominated for the award.'
