College recognised for developing journalists

Highbury College has been shortlisted for a professional award for its training of journalists.

Highbury has been nominated for the Innovation of the Year category at the NCTJ Awards for Excellence (National Council for the Training of Journalists) due to its introduction of journalism apprentices over the last two years. The college currently helps train 15 out of the 98 journalism apprenticeships nationwide.

Paul Foster, journalism tutor, said: '˜We are delighted to have been shortlisted and are proud of our track record of training journalists.'Â
