Yesterday, escaping Saint Nick’s naughty list, the older children at Kingscourt School, in Five Heads Road, put on elf costumes and introduced the younger children to the reindeer in festive hats.

Charlotta Jordan, one of the Year 6 elves, said: ‘The reindeer were big and very cute. The younger children were really excited.’

Dawn Sharpe, marketing manager at Kingscourt, said she was delighted by the event as she looked ahead to a busy Christmas schedule of nativity plays, sing-alongs and parties.

Dawn said: ‘This was the perfect way to kick off Christmas at Kingscourt.’
