Funding lifeline for youth clubs in town

ACTIVITIES supporting young people in Fareham will continue for another year after confirmation of council funding.

The allocated £30,000 of finance will be used to fund seven youth projects within the borough.

Fareham councillor,  Sue Bell, said: '˜The council is committed to maintaining a wide range of free activities for young people to enjoy. These groups offer a space for young people to meet in a safe relaxed environment where they can get valuable support from youth workers.'

Genesis and Oasis Youth Centres and the Broadlaw and Crofton Youth Projects  are some of the organisations set to benefit.
