Highbury College student receives award from National Union of Journalists

A HIGHBURY College student has been recognised for her journalistic talent with a prestigious award from National Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The Solent branch of the NUJ presented Gemma Wardle with the Bob Norris Award for Achievement, which was established earlier this year in memory of the regional journalist.

The annual award recognises students across the south who have achieved notable performance at their place of study.

Gemma said: ‘It feels amazing to be recognised for all my hard work. The course has been really challenging especially sitting remote exams due to Coronavirus.’
