From June 17-21 we’ll be highlighting the wide range of adult learning options we offer, from evening courses to daytime courses and even one-off training days. We have a range of levels too, with everything from pre-GCSE entry level courses to professional and university level qualifications. Whatever your situation, we have an option to fit around your personal life and career goals. Ready to take the next step? Here’s what we have on offer during our Festival of Learning:

Part-Time Open Evening Taking place on Thursday June 20 at our South Downs Campus, our open evening will give you a taste of everything adult learning. You’ll have a chance to chat to our lecturers, as well as find out more about funding options which may be available to you. The part time open evening will run from 5.30-7.30pm. Whether you’re looking for career progression, to retrain or get on the job ladder, or are just in search of a new hobby, we have a course for you.

Drop-In Sessions If you can’t make the open evening, or simply feel more at ease with a 1-1 chat, our drop-in sessions will give you the chance to talk through your part time education options.

From 9.30-11.30am the Havant Campus, South Downs Campus, and Leigh Park Learning Centre will be open for drop-in visits. Our adult learning experts will be on hand to discuss your requirements, and help you find a course that suits your availability, experience and career goals.

Taster for Teaching The taster for teaching is an exciting new programme designed for those who’ve always wanted to teach – but never quite made the leap! If you not only want to learn, but also aspire to inspire the next generation, this programme is right up your street. Our two-day introduction will be taking place on July 1 and 2. This particular event will focus on transferring experience from the Digital, IT, Engineering and Construction sectors. And this is just the beginning, this programme will eventually provide you with a teaching qualification that enables you to secure a lecturing role teaching 16-19-year olds. To find out more about the eligibility criteria, and to register for the two-day introduction session, please visit hsdc.ac.uk/events.
