Colin Bielckus, a volunteer with the not-for-profit organisation behind the festival, said: ‘This was a very proud performance by all taking part – a great opportunity for competitors to showcase their talents and skills to a wider audience.

‘It was a great weekend of music-making and fun, which clearly after more than 70 years is working and creating more interest year on year.

‘We want to be able to keep up that momentum and raise the profile of the organisation locally and for the future. We always need more volunteers, donations and sponsorship, plus we welcome help and continued support from the community.’
