New role for University of Portsmouth professor

Prof Harper is currently the dean of the faculty of creative and cultural industries at the University of Portsmouth, where she is also professor of textiles. She has supervised PhDs in the UK, Australia and Sweden.

Dr Harper said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the University of Chichester.

‘I’m especially drawn to the mixture of an enviable and well-understood history, and the development of modern, innovative and specialist facilities.

‘They are firmly focused on excellent student experience, high-quality academic provision, research innovation and ensuring its graduates are prepared for careers in and beyond their disciplines.’
