Woodentots Nursery, at Fareham’s HMS Collingwood, was visited by two of the navy’s own police
officers, stationed at the military base.

Master at Arms Marie Bradley and Leading Regulator Sophie Hurlo spoke to the children about their jobs and showed them some of the kit they used.

But they were also there to give the children vital road safety advice, showing them how to safely cross the road and explaining the meaning of the three traffic light colours.

MMA Bradley said the trip was a brilliant experience.

She said: ‘It’s great to engage with the children to promote road safety and it also helps to build the familiarity between them and the police.’

After the talk, the children had the chance to explore an RNP vehicle and get messy with some finger printing on DNA cards.
