Trust celebrates success at teaching awards

THE CITY'S Thinking Schools Academy Trust has celebrated its success at last month's Teach Portsmouth Awards.

Primary and secondary schools within the Trust were delighted to pick up several awards on the night as members of teaching and support staff were commended for their service.

After 22 years' service at Portsmouth Academy, Bev Hill was recognised for her dedicated service as exams officer and student progress manager.

The Academy also won the award for health and wellbeing.

Principal Natalie Sheppard said: '˜Winning the health and wellbeing award is a source of pride for us at Portsmouth Academy.'

Other recipients included assistant headteacher Barry Mills, for 28 years' service at Newbridge Junior School and Clare Filson for undertaking various roles at Penhale Infant School.
