University of Portsmouth gets good rating by students

STUDENTS were happy with their university with it beating the national average for its satisfaction levels.

For the 10th year running, the University of Portsmouth has scored highly in the National Student Survey.

The independent survey results showed that overall satisfaction is 89 per cent, which is above the national average of 86 per cent.

Vice-chancellor Graham Galbraith said: ‘These results are an excellent reflection of our commitment to providing a student experience of the highest possible standard.

‘We take feedback very seriously and work hard to ensure that we make continual improvements to meet the needs and expectations of our students.’

Across the university, 19 individual courses achieved 100 per cent satisfaction including digital media, television and broadcasting, American studies, applied languages and accountancy and financial management.

The response rate was 80 per cent which was an increase from last year’s response rate of 72 per cent.
