Campaign in Portsmouth to raise awareness of serious lung conditions

PEOPLE are being encouraged to see their GP if they experience signs of serious heart or lung conditions.

An information stand at Cascades Shopping Centre, in Portsmouth, is making people aware of symptoms of lung disease, lung cancer or heart disease.

The campaign is being run by NHS England as part of their Be Clear on Cancer message.

Louise Peters, event manager, said: ‘We act as a stepping stone or a prompt for people to see their GP if they have any concerns.

‘It is about handing out information and make people aware of what these symptoms could be.’

The stand is at Cascades today and will be at the Meridian Centre, in Havant, tomorrow and Thursday.
