She said: ‘I know all about the great work going on in this area. The CCGs work incredibly hard to provide the best quality services to patients – I was very keen for Jane to come and see their efforts.’

Presentations were provided on the role of the commissioning nurse leader and director of quality and on a wide range of current projects.

After the visit, Julia Barton, chief quality officer and chief nurse at the CCGs, said: ‘We are very proud of the work we do. The visit was a fantastic opportunity to show Jane how we ensure every patient gets the best possible care.’
