Coronavirus: Portsmouth tier three is 'absolute madness' says South Parade Pier owner

Southsea attraction owner Tommy Ware Jnr told The News: ‘It's going to affect everyone, it's a ridiculous decision to make at this time.

‘The should have done it a long time before and not a week before Christmas.

‘It's going to have a massive impact on everyone's livelihoods.'

Amusement arcades and restaurants must shut under tier three. Pubs and restaurants can do takeaway.

Mr Ware added: ‘It's absolute madness.

‘I know health is the most important but money makes this world work.

‘There's going to be a lot of people out of business because of all this.

‘But you can drive to Chichester or Petersfield?

‘If he's going to do tier three, do all of England.
