THE owner of South Parade Pier has said putting Portsmouth into tier three now is ‘absolute madness’.

Southsea attraction owner Tommy Ware Jnr told The News: ‘It's going to affect everyone, it's a ridiculous decision to make at this time.

‘The should have done it a long time before and not a week before Christmas.

‘It's going to have a massive impact on everyone's livelihoods.'
